Check Safekeeping
Check Safekeeping is a free service available to personal and business checking and money market accounts at Valley Bank. All personal accounts automatically receive our free Check Safekeeping service. We safely store copies of your checks so that cancelled checks are no longer returned to you. Business clients can call 877-848-4816 or contact your branch to enroll.
Features and Benefits:
You no longer have to handle or store cancelled checks. You'll receive a statement each month detailing the checks paid during that statement cycle by number, amount, and date paid.
Check images are considered legally acceptable proof of payment.
Online banking customers can view check images from your current statement and two prior statement cycles at no charge.¹ Review, print or save your check images.

U.S. Savings Bonds
A U.S. Savings Bond is a contract showing that money has been loaned to the United States government. The loan is repaid with accrued interest when the bond is redeemed. Bonds are safe and secure because they are backed by the full faith and credit of the United States government.
An Important Change to U.S. Savings Bonds
Paper savings bonds will no longer be sold at financial institutions after December 31, 2011. But they are not going away; electronic savings bonds can be purchased online through TreasuryDirect.

What Happens to the Paper Bonds You Already Have?
Existing paper bonds are still valid and will earn interest for 30 years from the issue date or until redeemed. You can continue to cash savings bonds at any of our branches.

Need to transfer money quickly? Wire transfers are the fastest and safest way to transfer funds anywhere. Valley Bank’s Wire Department can:

To transfer funds outside of the U.S. we recommend sending International wires in foreign currency because it is fast and efficient. You pay lower fees, and can lock in the exchange rate so you know the cost of the transaction before it is sent.
