Overview
What is an eStatement?
An eStatement is an electronic version of your account statement, in PDF format, available through online banking. You will no longer receive a paper statement after you enroll in eStatements.
Is there a cost for eStatements?
No, eStatements are FREE.
Are eStatements secure?
Yes. eStatements are accessed securely through Valley Bank’s Online Banking.
Which accounts are eligible for eStatements?
Checking and savings accounts, certificates of deposit, and loans are eligible for eStatements. If your accounts are combined, all the accounts on the combined statement will be available.
Getting Started
How do I enroll for eStatements and stop receiving paper statements?
- Log in to personal online banking
- Complete the eStatement auto enrollment form, or click on “Change Options” at the top of your screen.*
- Select eligible accounts
- Enter your email address
- Accept the terms and conditions of our Disclosure Agreement and Consent
* If your Valley Bank account is owned jointly with other individuals, the primary account holder (determined by the social security number used for IRS reporting purposes) will be provided the opportunity to enroll for eStatements. That person’s election to enroll for eStatements will apply to all owners.
What software do I need to access my eStatement?
eStatements will be delivered to you in Portable Document Format (PDF). We recommend you have the latest version of Adobe Acrobat Reader® to open or view your statement(s). To download the latest free version available of Adobe Acrobat Reader® visit www.adobe.com.
When is my eStatement available?
After you enroll, you will receive your first eStatement when your next statement cycles.
How will I know when my eStatement is available?
You will receive an email notification, sent to the email address you specified during enrollment, when your statement is available for viewing.
- Log in to online banking
- Click on the applicable account
- Click on the STATEMENTS (DOCUMENTS) tab
- Click on eStatement
- Click on the most current Account Statement
- View, print or save your statement
Other Questions about eStatements
Can joint owners view eStatements?
Yes. Joint owners can view eStatements for joint accounts as long as they are enrolled for and have access to online banking.
For joint owners, can one owner receive an eStatement and the other a paper statement?
No. If the primary account owner enrolls for eStatements, paper statements will no longer be mailed.
What if I change my email address?
To ensure that you receive your eStatement notification email, please update your email address by logging in to Online Banking. Select the “Options” button at the top of the screen and “Edit” email address. If your eStatement notification email is undeliverable we will try to contact you for an updated email address. If we cannot contact you, your eStatement service will be canceled.
If I enroll for eStatements, will my previous statements be available for viewing online?
Yes, your previous statements will still be available.
How do I stop eStatements?
You may submit your request in writing to any of our branches or mail to Valley Bank, 1307 E. Main Ave., Puyallup, WA 98372. When you discontinue eStatements, you will no longer receive the eStatement email notification.
